Infrastructure

Water
The St. Lawrence River is the primary source for Village water including some portions of the Town. The water plant design capacity is 5M gallons per day with approximately 1.7M gallons per day excess available volume.

Sewer
The Village sewage treatment facility is an activated sludge type facility which has the ability to be expanded modularly, if needed. Development in the Town requires on-site waste-water treatment facilities, with particular method dependent upon the quantity of waste water generated, and specific site capabilities.

Electricity
Massena is the home of the Robert H. Moses Power Dam, one of the New York Power Authority's major hydroelectric dams. Using the 800-megawatt capacity of this dam, the Massena Electric Department provides some of the lowest energy costs in the nation and MED reliability is also far superior to the US and Canadian average. Our community is proud of MED achievements and environmental commitment.

Please provide us with the current demand, load and kilowatt usage from your facility and we will provide, via email, a cost estimate for similar usage in Massena. bdc@massenaworks.com
