Festival of North Country Folklife
The 2005 Festival of North Country Folklife is scheduled for Saturday, August 13 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Our theme for this year is "At the Quilting Bee". We will be exploring history, practices and the many styles of this fascinating hobby. For information on exhibiting or visiting, e-mail us or call 315-769-3525. Winner of the 1999 21st Century Project Honor Roll Award, the Folklife Festival celebrates the traditional arts, crafts, practices and history of our region. From basketmaking to beading, weaving to water-witching, songs to story-telling, the festival is a great event for both young and old. The picturesque Robert Moses State Park Picnic Area provides a perfect backdrop for this one-of-a-kind event. Admission is just $3.00 for adults and $1.00 for folks ages 6-18.
