"Wings of Freedom 2006--Pride and Patrioism "

Massena International Airport, Richards Field

Over 3500 people came out to the Massena Airport over three days to take in the sights and sounds of this year's Wings of Freedom event. The weekend kicked off with an opening ceremeony attended by New York State Veteran's Affairs representative George Basher and Congressman John McHugh.

On Saturday and Sunday, thousands came to tour the Collings Foundation B-17 and B-24 World War II aircraft and visit many exhibits and other display aircraft. See photos below:

"Wings of Freedom" is a joint project of the Chamber and numerous veteran's organizations, including the Amvets Post 4, VFW Post 1143, American Legion Post 79, Navy Club Ship 238 and the local U.S. Coast Guard Auxilliary.
